Here, screen time is purposeful, strength-based, and growth-oriented.
Answers to parents’ top questions
Your teen has intense passions and lots of ideas but hasn’t found the right outlet or audience.
We know how that feels.
Perhaps you’re the only audience for your teen’s endless fun-fact sharing; perhaps you notice and are concerned that they keep things to themselves.
Idea Park is that needed outlet and playground – an innovative online platform designed for teens to express and share their interests and knowledge in a safe, supportive environment.
Unlike Social Media, there is no algorithm to dictate what one sees. Unlike chat apps, discussions are centred around members’ topic of interests, fostering stimulating interactions and collaborations. Moreover, there is no private messaging that may allow abuse or bullying. Idea Park is all about active creation and engagement over passive scrolling or random, game-based chatting.
Whether your teen is passionate about space exploration, mythology, folk music, restoring classic cars, or any unique hobby, Idea Park provides a safe and engaging environment where they can express their passions through creating multimedia content, share their knowledge, explore new topics, connect with like-minded peers, and develop valuable skills along the way.
Each member owns one or more spaces to showcase their chosen interests and knowledge.
Some examples of what members have created so far:
– Moon Landing
– Travel guide
– Introduction to genres of music
– A custom Minecraft world
Your teen can curate their experience as they see fit – using the platform as a private depository for their content, opening it up for other members to explore and enjoy, sparking themed discussions, or participating in collaborative projects, challenges, and polls.
Purposeful discussions around these topics will naturally evolve, providing an engaging and growth-oriented experience.
First of all, Idea Park is a private, paid, member-only online community.
Here are a few important things that mean for your teens:
Active Creation vs. Passive Consumption
Idea Park is designed for teens to actively create and share their content, unlike mainstream Social Media where teens primarily scroll through and passively consume content, with the algorithm controlling what they see, and mining their behaviour data for profit-driven purposes that do not benefit your teen. Idea Park‘s active engagement helps teens build confidence, express themselves, and develop presentation, social, and critical thinking skills.
Safe, Moderated Environment
Unlike Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat, which can expose teens to unfiltered content and potentially harmful interactions, Idea Park provides a safe, private, and moderated space. Parents can rest assured that all content and interactions are monitored to ensure safety and positivity..
Nurture Skill Development
Through building content and participating in collaborative projects, teens get to practise critical skills including writing, presentation, leadership, communication, and team collaboration. In contrast, mainstream Social Media platforms are only about entertainment and social connections without an emphasis on personal development.
Encouragement of In-Depth Engagement and Discussions
While platforms like TikTok or Snapchat thrive on quick, fleeting content and shallow chats, Idea Park encourages more thoughtful, in-depth, and intellectually stimulating discussions around members’ topics of passion.
Positive and Inclusive Community
Social media platforms often come with risks of negative social comparison, bullying, or exclusion. Idea Park is purpose-built to foster a positive, inclusive community where teens are celebrated for their unique passions, making them feel valued and included.
No Private Messaging or Hidden Interactions
Unlike Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, or Snapchat’s chat feature, Idea Park does not allow private or hidden chats. This open approach prevents secrecy and ensures that all interactions remain transparent, contributing to a safe and trustworthy space.
Screen Time with Purpose
Mainstream Social Media encourages endless scrolling and time-wasting. In contrast, Idea Park transforms screen time into a productive experience by offering activities that promote learning, creativity, and skill development, so parents know their teens’ time online is well-spent.
Strength-Based and Peer-Learning Approach
Idea Park leverages a strength-based, peer-learning model that helps teens learn from one another, share knowledge, and engage in collaborative projects. This format is rarely found on other platforms which typically centre around content creators or a teacher-led classroom rather than mutual growth and learning.
While Discord offers both public and private servers that can be tailored to specific interests, it is primarily known for its use in gaming and casual chatting, with conversations that can be unstructured. Private messaging has been known to pose safety concerns.
In contrast, Idea Park is a platform designed for teens to create multimedia content spaces where their passions take the centre stage. Discussions are built around these topics of interest, resulting in structured, meaningful interactions.
In sum, unlike Discord, Idea Park fosters a safe, growth-oriented environment without the risks associated with private messaging, making screen time more productive and creative.
We are glad you asked! Our membership is family-based and we love to have parents’ active involvement while allowing teens to craft their own paths in the community.
In the Parent-only Zone, parents can connect and propose ideas, just like members of a club in real life.
Idea Park is built upon a co-creation model. Interested parent members are encouraged to join the “Founder Council” where we zoom-meet once-a-month to discuss the health and growth of our community.
You can also email our founder Evelyn directly to share your thoughts at anytime.
We take content appropriateness very seriously. The Community Guideline and Content Guideline are strictly enforced. All member-created content is screened and our team has the ultimate administrative power to edit or remove inappropriate content. No private messaging means all conversations are out in the open and constantly moderated.
As a private paid-members-only community, profiles, content, and activities cannot be viewed by non-members or beyond the community. No private messaging means all conversations are in the open and moderated. Content and community guidelines are strictly enforced. With full control over profile setting, members can interact at a privacy level with which they are most comfortable.
Finally, anyone can report content for direct review, including parents, teens, and Founding Council members. A safe, appropriate, and growth-friendly environment is a critical pillar of Idea Park’s values.
Idea Park is built on a trusted community technology platform called Mighty Network. That’s why it says “powered by Mighty” on our membership/sign in page and on the mobile app.
While it is “powered by Mighty” software, Mighty Network has no control or visibility into Idea Park. Just like Microsoft has no control or visibility into what you do with Microsoft Word!
For a limited time only, we are offering our Founding Members launch prices – sign up to lock in this low price for as long as you remain a member.
Regular prices will be announced around Spring/Summer 2025 – don’t miss this opportunity to join our community at the lowest cost at the ground level.

Healthy Screen Time
Unlike Social Media that encourages passive scrolling and like-chasing, or game-centric online chatting, Idea Park is all about active creation and purposeful engagement, turning your teen’s time online into something meaningful.
Skill Development
Teens build valuable skills such as content presentation, social, collaboration, leadership, and critical thinking. By curating their own spaces, they go beyond surface-level interactions to develop real-world abilities.
Safe and Moderated
A private paid-member only community where profile or content can never be shared beyond the paywall. With no private chats allowed, all interactions are in the open. Community and content guidelines are strictly enforced.
Inclusive and Supportive
We embrace and celebrate uniqueness in a no-judgement setting. We understand some teens may have unique interests that are safe and appropriate yet not readily understood.

Taking all benefits listed above, teens will enjoy boosted confidence and a sense of belonging that contribute to their overall well-being.
